I love the Kaplan Method. We own many of the Kaplan books for both ISEE and SSAT prep as well as SAT and ACT prep. The format for providing detailed explanations to the test answers is helpful to understand why an answer is incorrect.This book in particular was very disappointing since there are SO MANY errors in the answer keys. Usually the answer explanation itself is correct, but then they state the wrong corresponding letter answer. So they might conclude the "answer is 27, which is A." However, 27 is actually answer choice C. If you have already purchased this book or are still planning to do so, I have included a list below that highlights the errors so that you can check the ISEE tests with the correct answers. There were errors on the SSAT also, but I did not do an adequate job of keeping track of them. I did not check every answer, but I did check many. Here goes:ISEE PRACTICE TEST 1 (Key is on Page 661)Section 2 - Quantitative Reasoning5. A (NOT D)29. B (NOT A)Section 3 - Reading Comprehension22. D (NOT C)Section 4 - Mathematics Achievement21. I like the book overall and it has been a useful study guide. I haven't reviewed all of the answers yet, but found a number of errors already. Others have commented on errors they found. I would also add:Practice Test 2Sec 4 Math35. B (not C)37. C (not B)I will add others if I find them.

I’ve successfully used Kaplan before for ISEE review for my middle schooler. The 2019-2020 practice tests had NUMEROUS errors. My student would choose the correct answer but the key would have the wrong letter. A few errors I could overlook. There were easily an excess of 10 errors on each test. I’ll recycle this book and steer away from Kaplan in the future.

I've so far discovered 3 math problems with incorrect answers in the keys. There are likely more.p. 236 #6. Answer is a non-integer, not offered as a solution. Answer key suggests solving via process of elimination, but the offered answer is mathematically inaccurate.p. 239 #21. Answer is E; the answer key actually mis-transcribes the printed problem and arrives at the wrong answer itself (D).p. 285 #24. Problem is misprinted (as evidenced by answer key explanation). Answer choices all algebraically impossible.

I’ve also found countless errors. I’m usually a fan of Kaplan. Really frustrated with this book. Errors are quite sloppy. You don’t know what to trust...not ideal for a study guide.
