This book is a comprehensive history of the beetle as well as Volkswagons in general but the focus is mainly on the beetle. The text is accurate and is written by someone who really knows his stuff. The highlights of the book are the illustrations. They are absolutely first rate and beautifully printed. Absolutely gorgeous in this large format book. It's quite an expensive book if new but the used one I got was in very good shape with just some slight damage to the dust jacket but in perfect condition inside. If you're a bugnut or know someone who is this is the holy grail.

Very informative book great photos of vw`s through the years as well as assembly plants. If you like the history of Volkswagen you would like this book . The book is quit large 14"x11"x1/2"

This book was a gift to me when I was much younger, and it had been lost over the years. I had checked Amazon periodically over the last few years looking for another copy. So glad to have found it again.

One of the "go to" books for custom ideas... a little dated in wats, but so am I.

this tabletop book covers the beetle from its design in the 1930's to its final model in the 1980's. Yearly changes are noted and manufacturing methods and statistics are provided. The color photographs are excellent. A great book for those who owned and loved this world car.

Great price and fast delivery. I'e had 5 VW Beetles and one Rabbit in my life the firsty being a 1949 bug I bought in Germany when in the service. They are truly an iconic automobile. This book i like a VW Bug Bible. For anyone who has owned a bug it is a real trip down memory lane, with great pictures and text.

Best one of all. Many B&W pics with text of early history. Beautiful large pics of all models with lots of extra pics and details of modifications to body, lights, doors, bumpers...etc. A joy and a bargain!
